Specifically designed to be modern and attractive, yet ecologically responsible. In this environment your child is guaranteed to thrive and develop, having a head start for the world they will face when they grow up.
Our experienced staff provide high-quality care to all our children, forging strong bonds with them and helping them to learn and thrive. All children are appreciated, and diversity is valued.
We tailor our activities to meet children’s individual needs and interests, with an emphasis on learning through play. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage to provide a seamless transition to Reception.
We strive to provide a safe, caring and challenging environment where children can learn and explore the world around them. We spend as much time as possible outdoors in our bespoke garden and surrounding woodland and also offer Forest School sessions.
As a charitable organisation we endeavour to keep our fees as reasonable as possible so that we can continue to provide high quality, affordable childcare for all local families.
Why Choose Woodland Corner?
Our unique setting provides pre-school education to children from the ages of 2-4 as well as offering breakfast and after-school clubs for children up to age 11.
We offer morning, afternoon and full-day sessions (with ad hoc sessions if available) 38 weeks of the year, as well as holiday clubs. We accept government funding and tax-free childcare.
Woodland Corner provides breakfast and afterschool clubs for the children of Nayland Primary School and some of our Pre-School children (2 to 11 years old).
Holiday club runs on various dates during the school holidays, from 9am till 3pm. Please look out for posters and emails about the forth coming dates!

My child had an amazing time at Pre-School, always running to the front door and eager to get in and see you all. This is down to you all and how much love you show her – so thank you! She has learned so much from you all and with your help is now ready for big school! Thank you for all the work you have done with Mary and all the children in your care.

To all at Woodland Corner – Congratulations on your 50th anniversary. A wonderful moment to celebrate all the staff over the years who have provided our local children with such excellent care and education. The service you provide and your commitment to the children you look after is appreciated so very much by all of us. Special personal thanks from me – to Cheryl for your genuine love of children, the way you understand them, provide creative learning opportunities for them and want to make them smile.

Dear Cheryl and the team – Thank you all for everything you have done for my daughter during her time at Woodland Corner. She has really enjoyed her sessions, especially the multi sports, yoga and music. She has grown a lot in confidence and her time with you has set her up very well for starting school.
A.D - August 2024
